Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: May 29, 2026

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Foreign Method is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We recognize the importance of providing an inclusive digital experience and are continuously working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website for all of our visitors, regardless of their abilities or the assistive technologies they use.

We strive to adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI). These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

2. Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features and practices to enhance the accessibility of our website:

2.1 Navigation and Structure

  • Consistent navigation structure across all pages of the website
  • Logical heading hierarchy to enable screen reader users to navigate content efficiently
  • Skip navigation links to allow keyboard users to bypass repetitive content and navigate directly to main content areas
  • Descriptive page titles that clearly identify the content and purpose of each page
  • Breadcrumb navigation where applicable to indicate the user's location within the website structure

2.2 Visual Design

  • Sufficient color contrast ratios between text and background elements to ensure readability for users with low vision or color vision deficiencies
  • Scalable text that can be enlarged using browser zoom functionality without loss of content or functionality
  • Content that does not rely solely on color to convey information, status, or meaning
  • Avoidance of content that flashes more than three times per second, which could trigger seizures in users with photosensitive epilepsy

2.3 Images and Media

  • Alternative text (alt text) descriptions for all meaningful images to provide context for screen reader users
  • Decorative images appropriately marked to be ignored by assistive technologies
  • Text alternatives provided for any non-text content that serves an informational or functional purpose

2.4 Forms and Interactive Elements

  • Clearly labeled form fields with visible labels and placeholder text
  • Error identification and description to help users understand and correct input errors
  • Logical tab order for form fields and interactive elements
  • Sufficient target size for interactive elements to accommodate users with motor impairments
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements for keyboard navigation users

2.5 Keyboard Accessibility

  • All interactive elements are operable using keyboard-only navigation
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements to show keyboard focus location
  • No keyboard traps that prevent users from navigating away from any element
  • Modal dialogs and overlays manageable via keyboard, including closure using the Escape key

3. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of our website, there may be some limitations. We are actively working to identify and address any accessibility barriers. Known limitations may include:

  • Some older content may not yet fully comply with all WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. We are working to update this content as part of our ongoing accessibility improvement efforts.
  • Certain third-party content or embedded elements may not be fully accessible, as they are outside our direct control. We are working with our third-party providers to improve the accessibility of their content.
  • Some visual design elements that are integral to our brand identity may present challenges for users with certain visual impairments. We are exploring ways to balance our design aesthetic with accessibility requirements.

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with common assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Speech recognition software
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Switch access devices

5. Browser Compatibility

Our website is designed to work with the current and previous two versions of major web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We recommend using the latest version of your preferred browser for the best experience.

6. Continuous Improvement

We view accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement. We are committed to:

  • Conducting regular accessibility audits of our website
  • Incorporating accessibility considerations into our design and development processes
  • Training our team members on accessibility best practices
  • Soliciting and incorporating feedback from users with disabilities
  • Staying current with evolving accessibility standards and guidelines

7. Feedback and Contact

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, have difficulty accessing any content or functionality, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We take all accessibility feedback seriously and will make reasonable efforts to address reported issues promptly.

When contacting us about an accessibility issue, it is helpful to include the following information:

  • A description of the accessibility problem you encountered
  • The web page address (URL) where you encountered the issue
  • The assistive technology and browser you were using
  • Your contact information so we can follow up with you

We will acknowledge receipt of your feedback within three (3) business days and will work to address the reported issue as quickly as possible.

8. Formal Complaints

If you are not satisfied with our response to your accessibility feedback, you may file a complaint with the appropriate regulatory authority in your jurisdiction. In the United States, you may contact the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, or the relevant state agency responsible for disability rights enforcement.
